Academic Year 2024-2025 Course Applications
Instructions Regarding Course Applications and Online Registration:
Many of our courses require an application. To receive full consideration for admission, you must fill out the course application in advance and also join the online course waitlist during an early registration period.
Please note that our department will only review applications and process admissions during the following weeks, with priority given to those who apply and join the waitlist in April.
- April 15-19, 2024
- June 12-16, 2024
- August 26-30, 2024
Admission is at the discretion of the department and instructor. If an instructor or the department admits a student from the waitlist, their status on SSOL will change to "Approved." The transition from the waitlist to the class list will occur automatically overnight.
After August 30, 2024, students who remain on the waitlist for any of our courses must attend the first class session and speak with the instructor to inquire about available spots.

Notes:
- DESIGN FUTURES: All sections of our course ARCH UN1010 Design Futures: NYC typically meet on Fridays from 1:10-4:25 PM but occasionally meet until 5:25 PM. Also, please note that this is our only course that is specifically designed for first-year students. Online registration will open in the summer when first-years start enrolling in courses. After that, enrollment will be handled by the department, prioritizing first-year students from the waitlist. While we value the interest of students in their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of study, it's important to understand that the majority of seats in Design Futures will be reserved for first-years and priority will be given to them until the end of the add/drop period in September. On Friday, September 13th, during the second Design Futures class session (which coincides with the end of the add/drop period), there may be a few spots available for non-first year students from the waitlist. However, until that date, only first-year students will be accepted into the course from the wait list.
- ABOLITION ARCHITECTURE: This is a new course and is not published online yet. Applications are open, but students will not be able to join the waitlist until the summer.
- ADVANCED ARCHITECTURAL RESEARCH & DESIGN: Unlike our other courses, applications for AAR+D are due by April 22nd. We will review applications during the week of April 22-26, so please be sure you add yourself to the wait list during the early registration window from April 15-19.

- PLANNING SHEETS AND FORMS FOR MAJORS AND MINORS: Major and minor requirements worksheets are intended to help students plan their coursework and the completion of their program of study. You can download our major and minor worksheets from the Requirements for the Majors & Minors page of our website. These forms are all fillable PDFs, so you may type directly into the text fields and save and/or print the forms. Alternatively, forms may be printed and completed by hand.
