R. Todd Rouhe
R. Todd Rouhe is an architect and educator, and a founding member of the design collaborative common room, as well as a principal partner with Maria Ibañez de Sendadiano at IDSR Architecture in New York City.
Todd earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Southern California Institute of Architecture and his Master of Architecture degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation. Previously, Todd has gained valuable experience working in the professional offices of architects Frank Gehry in Los Angeles, Daniel Libeskind in Berlin, Smith-Miller Hawkinson and Michael Sorkin in New York City.
He has co-edited two books with Common Room through their imprint Common Books: Arts for Living (Common Books, 2013) and Communist Guide to New York City (Common Books, 2008). The work of IDSR Architecture and Common Room has appeared in several publications including Dwell, Perspecta, Enki, and the New York Times.
