In January 2021, the Society of Architectural Historians (SAH) announced their newly-elected board members for the coming year, among them Barnard architecture professor Anooradha Siddiqi. Taking on the position of director, Siddiqi will serve a three-year term. She will also serve on the SAH's IDEAS committee, which is tasked with preserving equity and diversity within the organization.

The professor also recently published an article in the South Asia Chronicle, titled "The Bangladesh Liberation War Museum and the Inconclusivity of Architecture." The article is part of an essay series on Bangladesh architecture in response to the Liberation War of 1971. Siddiqi examines the architecture war museum, the Muktijudda Jadughar, as it pertains to the changing identity and legacy of the people of Bangladesh.
